A podcast about audiobook evolution & industry revolution.
about.
The audiobook industry is full of voices, and we're bringing them to the table. Hosted by a core coterie of narrators and featuring a variety of trade professionals, The Narrator Roundtable shares the intricate stories, challenges, and ideas that make up the audiobook industry. From craft to business and beyond, the roundtable turns "chatting with a friend over coffee" from an acting technique into an opportunity for gathering and growth.

André Santana
he/him
André Santana is a NYC-based audiobook narrator on a journey to tell great stories. He's a Black, Latine, and non-binary voice actor delivering intentional and human performances. Operating with a keen sense for truth to the text, André inevitably becomes a fan of every book he narrates and shares that joy through his performances.
Gail Shalan
she/her
Gail Shalan is a storyteller based in NYC. She holds an MFA in Acting from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has worked in both the U.S. and U.K. in theatre, film, and voice over.
Her narration has garnered praise from The School Library Journal, Vulture Magazine, BookRiot, Audiofile Magazine and has been noted as Apple Books & New York Times Must-Listens. She’s an IPPY Gold Medalist, a multiple Earphones Award winner, and recently won Audie Awards for both the Best Young Adult and Best Middle Grade Audiobooks of 2024.
She’s passionate about stories that center generational healing and mental health, that navigate the sticky spaces between childhood and adulthood, and stories that ask who am “I”? And who are “we”? And what dwells in the space between us, what dwells in the space within us?
Lindsey Dorcus
she/her
Lindsey is a classically trained, SOVAS & IAA award-winning actor who has narrated over 100 audiobooks. She has worked with everyone from Big Five publishers to indie authors. After graduating with my BA in Theatre from Northwestern University, she worked as a theatre artist in Chicago for over 10 years before shifting to full-time audiobook narration and voiceover work.
A lifelong storyteller, Lindsey loves working and connecting with other people who are passionate about the power of narrative. In her free time, she loves hiking, crafting (...poorly), and going on adventures.
Deanna Anthony
she/her
Deanna Anthony is a classically trained singer, actress, and Audie Finalist audiobook narrator, that has worked in the Entertainment industry for over 30 years.
A former model and beauty queen turned casting director and booking agent, she has personally performed in over fifty-five regional and international theaters. When not working, she enjoys quilting, sewing, baking, strolling, reading and watching romance.
Kirt Graves
he/him
After 15 years of empowering young people to find their voices through drama, poetry, and literature as an award-winning speech and debate coach, Kirt Graves found his own voice as an audiobook narrator. He brings clarity, empathy, and humor to stories spanning dystopian sci-fi, urban & high fantasy, contemporary romance, and most significantly, young adult fiction that reflects his own experience growing up gay in the Midwest. His work has received praise from The School Library Journal, Audiofile Magazine, and as a finalist for the New York Festivals Radio Awards.
As an adult with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and OCD, Kirt hopes to destigmatize mental health disorders and neurodiversity by reframing atypical thinking as a superpower rather than a disability. He is an advocate for the inclusive casting of human narrators in audiobooks. Off-mic, Kirt is a graphic artist, a political junkie, and a theater director.
